First Post

Well, here goes. First blog post, ever. I figure since I'm leaving Atlanta to work on the HIV problem in Africa for two years, I should document some of what I see. In a few weeks I'm leaving for Peace Corps staging in Philadelphia, en route to Swaziland (via New York, Dakar, and Johannesburg - thankfully, the U.S. government is handling all my travel arrangements). Staging is where I get the rest of my immunization shots and initial briefing.

Right now, though, my days are filled with cleaning, packing and keeping it real.
